If the email account is of the main account username you only need to use 'username' as the login otherwise enter your FULL email address. Hope that helps. fireform90 09-07-2002, 03:11 PM thank you very much.. At least now I can pinpoint it to a password or other setting issue :) StevenG 09-07-2002, 08:50 PM The mail servers are usually mail.domain.com for both POP3 and SMTP. You'll usually need to check the "Server requires authentification" box if using your own smtp server - you can also use smtp.your_isp.com too. :D Kulman 09-08-2002, 01:50 AM Originally posted by milkbar The mail servers are usually mail.domain.com for both POP3 and SMTP. or just domain.com If the email account is of the main account username you only need to use 'username' as the login otherwise enter your FULL email address. i thought that depends on whether the account is name-based or ip-based StevenG 09-08-2002, 01:53 AM i thought that depends on whether the account is name-based or ip-based No it doesn't - IP or name based is exactly the same method :D You'll need to enter mail.domain.com too - domain.com won't work :D Kulman 09-08-2002, 02:01 AM Originally posted by Dotcomsnz You'll need to enter mail.domain.com too - domain.com won't work :D works fine for me StevenG 09-08-2002, 06:57 AM works fine for me I stand corrected... tried it and it works for me too. well I never, I learnt something new today :D Easy ;-) |
