Ebay (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&query=masterswitch&ht=1&st=2&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&category0=160&BasicSearch=) is a Good Place to look.

Ask APC?

That being said, I buy my stuff from http://www.advancedpowr.com/

I'd third ebay, plenty of vendors looking to liquidate apc's like any other equipment (esp cisco stuff) from failed .com's

Actually an even better place then ebay to look for cheap hardware is datacenters. Carrier nutrual facilitys tends to have a grip of spare hardware of all sorts in their own little dotcom graveyards.

If your not into buying used garbage check out buy.com for the apc reboot switches.

"used garbage"? Why would you pay 4x the price to get something new if you could get a used one for 1/4 the price? Doesen't make much sense to me, plenty of people sell cisco equipment on ebay thats still in the original packaging even.

Well, there are alot of reason's that fall in play of why to buy new, me personally I don't like buying used things. I mean for instance, would you go on a business meeting with clothes baught from a thrift store?:D. Yet that's an whole other story. The thing's that fall in play are warranty, does it work, are they even going to send me my product that I pay for, etc, etc, also even new stuff goes bad, but imagine how much less life bad stuff goes bad?:stickout. That's my opinion, I mean that's my opinion.

So i guess everyone here buys their cars brand new too? I wish i had that kinda coin :D, when it comes down to a $10,000 router for $2,000, and its in the same shape, same docs, and often even warrantied, i see no reason not to buy used.

Gah! If only we could all afford brand new cars whenever we wanted/needed them, life would be so perfect :D. Cars are definatly worse then routers though, i'd have to agree, not much to hide on a broken router, tons of stuff to hide on a broken car :)

Keep in mind that a lot of the stuff sold on eBay is brand new. Just because someone buys from eBay doesnt mean they're buying used.

True, but not true, most of the stuff is used, but yes you can find new stuff, untouched, etc.:cartman:

Like being the biggest time burgler on the planet. We went to buy some new and used equipment a few months back. Granted I am an eBay noob, but I can figure things out quick. Long story made short, I would spend hours bidding and watching only to be cut at the last minute. This happened about 10 times. Finally I was like 'screw it'. For the extra $100 I could call our venders and just buy it in minutes or even get it cheaper using pricewatch.com.

umbilly: i had that issue too, i found a few good deals with "buy it now" and called some of the vendors direct, they were more then happy to sell off of ebay :D
