20 Gigs HD
50 GB Transfer
Cpanel/WHM
*IP's
*As many as i can get :)
My price range goes up to about $200, If anyone knows of anyhwere that does anything or could offer something similar please let me know,
Thank You so much..
kind of cutting it close with those specs.. i'm sure some hosts will bend over to get you around here...
AtlantaWebhost.com 03-20-2001, 07:29 PM You may be better off buying a machine with those specs and looking for a good co-location price.
Best regards,
Frank Rietta
nisus 03-20-2001, 07:32 PM What you're asking seems to be the point where it jumps over the 300 range. The best i've seen so far has been by Weinbar and it looks pretty good. I've been looking around a lot and if anyone else can beat that, i'd like to see it.
Intel Pentium III 750 Mhz

dektong 03-20-2001, 11:15 PM Note: he needs CPanel/WHM also, another $150/mo with weinbar's $199/mo package...
cheers,

The Cpanel/WHM requirement is really what makes it hard to find such a deal.... Do you really need this Cpanel/WHM? If not, there are plenty of deals you can get....
The only way you can get this price range is to find a company hosted inside VDI (then, the CPanel/WHM is cheap). But even so, at about this price... most of them only come with 20GB of transfer...
Good luck finding... if you find one, please share with us... I see Sean from burst.net is ready to offer you a deal :D
cheers,

nisus 03-21-2001, 03:55 PM I'm considering going with a dedicated server soon.
If any hosts can offer dedicated within these price ranges ( Trying to avoid RAQ's ) please email me as well.
Thankyou.

dektong 03-21-2001, 04:06 PM with Cpanel/WHM too? with 50GB of data transfer too?
cheers,

nisus 03-21-2001, 04:18 PM I think I can get along without CPanel/WHM..
I don't want to misdirect this thread if the original poster is seeking certain features that i'm not, so I won't go too far into detail. I do freelance design and want to give the option of hosting for potential clients. My client base will likely be small, so I need to keep the price low.
If you can do without the cpanel/WHM, there are a lot of companies that can get you into that price range.

Have you thought of just reselling? It's a lot less trouble, cheaper to set up, and would suit your purpose pretty well I think.
Just a thought.

nisus 03-21-2001, 06:06 PM I've thought about it and originally was going to.
I just want that room for growth and I like to build other sites for myself as well. I think I can better support customers with a dedicated server and I look at reselling as being fairly risky if I decide to take a larger role in hosting down the line. Word travels fast, say something went wrong (Recent VDI, etc.) and the word "reseller" happen to appear, customers would flee in anger leaving negative comments all over.
Hi everyone,
As I am not having much luck finding a server with my specs with the price i posted i would like to improve the specs and ask people to post a quote or an offer they know of for something similar...
800 Mhz
512 Ram
20GB+ HD
WHM/Cpanel
50 GB Traffic
Fire away people, please let me know of any offers or plans anyone knows of that are reasonably priced..

DanielP 03-23-2001, 03:21 AM Correct me if i'm wrong but SCSI drives only come in 9 , 18, 24, 36, and on up modles. I've never heard of a 20.5 gig Ultra SCSI 10,000 RPM drive...... I'll have to call my hardware supplier tomorrow to make sure but I've never heard of a 20gig scsi... can't seem to find one on the 'net search engines either....
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Daniel~
E.FreeServers 03-23-2001, 03:25 AM I stand corrected. It's 18GB Ultra 3, 10K RPM, SCSI Hard Drive as listed on our site (except Cobalt RaQ 4i).
Thanks Daniel.
