Hi Wht members,

Here goes my story,

First of all i'v been into this whole hosting mess for 2-3 months now, I had started with some free hosting before a year ago and got really interested in making websites. Then i got really excited about the hosting business, as in how they handle it and manage it.

First paid reseller ever was from DP, and im a good poster there 700+. So it was Forcium Hosting i went it, then they sold the company and lots of hassles here and there.

So searched for a good and cheap reseller hosting at FWS, Im just begineer there but then i found SellWHM in FWS.

So the main plot SellWHM story starts here, I went with them, were good, Ralph was really kind in answering through MSN , and support tickets, helped me learn few things about hosting, i had a pretty good number of people under me now, about 100 clients, than goes the SellWHM's sad ending as we all know here at WHT.

So what i am thinking is, as i have lots all clients..and also the trust which a provider can give me. SellWHM shows me how worse a hosting provider can get, at the point that in the end he quits.

Im looking for a trustable and a company that does backup everyweek or so, that i wont have to repeat the same story,
and have a reliable provider.

If anyone can point me to a right direction, id be willing to start over again with my 10 domains and my main domain as hosting.

Needed: At least 15-20gb space and 100gb bandwith of transfer to start, or i can start with a VPS.

Budget: I have enough cash to backup but, im currently low on virtual cash as in paypal , since i had paid for SellWHM , and havent got any refund..so basically dont worry about budget, anything goes for me , except the provider needs to be extremely good at handling hosting business, not like Ralph!

Thanks,
Sameer

I would pick a more reliable and smarter provider. One that has the money to do everything. I don't recommend Sell WHM either....

I would go with Host Gator or Eleven 2. They should be able to meet your needs. They both re dependable and established company's.

All the best,

Why the change in mind? Eleven2's hosting is pretty sweet.

I read about SellWHM and I thought it was terrible. It's probably a good idea to go with a well established host.

Look at that, even a fast response to the thread. :D

Good to see you, Mr. Giles.

As regards your needs for hosting, I'd stick with a reseller account and then migrate to a dedicated, a vps isn't always the best solution for running a hosting business.

Boy you really have had some bad luck with hosting companies, just make sure you do your research (check for reviews) and have a chat with them first (sales emails or live chat) to try and get a feel for the host.

If you go for someone that's been around longer than a year that may help guard against the disappearing act some what.

I would recommend: www.iwebfusion.net

They have done a very good job in making me happy after RalphC of SellWHM.com scammed me out of $90.00. Iweb has done everything they could to give us a good deal, and help us decide exactly what I need.

I wish there were more good people about there like Iweb. Unfortunately... we have to deal with "other people" *sigh*.

Good luck SameerHosting!

Suggest you stick with a reseller account unless you know how to admin a VPS, if you are going to go with a VPS make sure it is fully managed.

And up your budget a bit from the likes of SellWHM.
If you are serious about the hosting business screen your provider at least as well as you would a new customer for fraud.
Just because they are on the internet and seem like a nice guy does not make them legit.

Good luck on the search.

I totally agree with you. A VPS can be very limiting and if you want a higher end VPS you could actually use that money to buy a low cost dedicated server that would run much better. I would suggest that you go with the reseller first if you don't have much experience with server management, then gradually expand to a dedicated server.
