Similar to what I sent another member who wanted to start a 9-11 forum (a whole forum devoted to - ) ...

Although I am an Amercian, and admit to having strong feelings on the issue, I have to step back from that and realize that there are many events and incidents and issues, worldwide, that people might want to address, and it isn't fair to have a forum only about 9-11. Basically, it isn't that the thought isn't wonderful (it is, really), however it is just one event that happened, and if we allowed this, then we'd have to consider forums devoted to breast cancer, wars, and a zillion other world-wide incidents.

My feeling is that a thread in the Lounge should do it, and anything beyond that should be another site, which can be listed in someone's signature/profile. There are sites devoted to unlimited hosting and plenty of people put that URL in their signature, so if they feel strongly about the issue, the same would happen.

I agree with Chicken, its not really fair, do you know how many people die daily in Africa from aids and hunger?

We don't want to be biased do we?

We talk about 9-11, does not mean we are biased. USA sends a lot of aid to Africa to their drought affected and sick people. Every country have their own problems and issues.

I think he meant 'biased' in terms of not having other non-9/11 forums for other issues. If this were a forum devoted to New York web hosting businesses and issues, then I'd say that a 9/11 forum would be appropriate, but it isn't a New York web hosting forum, not even a U.S. web hosting forum.

I'm not sure what you are referring to, but if you would like accurate information about MCHost, and the reason they lost my business please do contact me off board =)

I think a 9/11 board here would be very out of place. Just doesn't seem like a WHT thing to do...besides, aren't we inundated enough with it everywhere as it is?

I know i know, it would be a bit racist to have even more things devoted to Americans when this place first opened it was made for Scottish people only.

Anyway no one pays attention to what you suggest.
We get a PHP forum which no one asked for.

ned patter. I agree with you. But please do not be harsh on PHP forum. There are some people who like it.

Yes i think in the future it's best to keep quiet about things like this, say no more about it, you only get into trouble.

Right, We all remember the innocents of the incident. But, cannot start a forum for each such incident as there would be many all over the world.
