View Full Version : Domain Reseller Account Needed

Our customers are always asking if we do domain registrations and after many requests, we would like to start registering domains. I am looking for both opinions and level 1 resellers for eNom.

What is needed:

Opinions:

I personally have never dealt with or used eNom nor their services, I would like to know how well you think they rate (please only respond if you have actually used them). Are they easy to deal with, do they have many problems, ect. I want current stats, not past stats (I know there is a search feature on this board) ;).

1st Level Reseller:

What I mean by this is that I want someone who is not a reseller of a reseller, I want to deal with the actual reseller themselves when needed, if needed. I simply ask that is you are a 2nd level reseller, that you not post your offer, it is not that you will have bad service but I don't like having to go through 2-3 people to get something answered that you may not know when I could go through 1-2 (the reseller and/or eNom).

Payment Options & Explanation:

How does payment work? I know most of the resellers request that paypal is used for the actual setup (I prefer to pay via PP as well). Once the reseller account is paid for, do I have to make a minimum depoist into the eNom reseller account or would I just pay the reseller upon registration?

If you would please post you offers and answers to the above, it would help me to best choose the right person :).

Thanks ahead of time to anyone who posts, even if it is a little bit of help :).

ViperHost,

The payment to the reseller to setup your account is totally seperate from any payments for domains.

You have a couple of options for actually selling the domains and processing payments. You can use Registry Rocket or PDQ and then eNom will do the CC processing for you. You don't have to deposit money with eNom. eNom just credits your account the difference between your wholesale price, what you charge for retail and the CC fees (3% + $0.95/transaction).

The last choice is to use the full blow API. If you use the API, you can use eNom's CC processing or your own. If you use your own CC processing, then you have to deposit funds with eNom. You are basically buying from yourself, then selling to the retail customer.

You can deposit money in your account via credit card, check or wire transfer. eNom charges 3% for a cc deposit and there is a 100 minimum. There is no fee or miminum or a check or wire transfer.

You should try the search. This has been answered a dozen times ;).

Frank

p.s. There really is not way to tell if a reseller is a "level 1" reseller unless eNom will tell you. Your going to have to take the word of the reseller.

Thanks for the information, if things are set that way, I may just go directly with them instead of going through both the reseller and eNom (although it will cost a bit more I do believe) :).

Thanks once again for the information Frank.

ViperHost,

Once your reseller account is setup, the "parent" reseller is basically out of the picture except for support.

Going directly with eNom is much more expensive.

8.95 wholesale = $500 deposit
7.95 wholesale = $3,500 deposit
6.95 wholesale = $7,000 deposit

I've rounded slightly, but you get the idea.
