They couldnt afford to keep selanne, hes a excellent player, but we don't have enough funds i believe, some say we are soon going to loose our sponsorship from Disney.

really? that would seriously suck. well i know my team phili, has almost lost all faith from me, they had everybody they could;ve wanted, and a first round exit? i mean i must have yelled f**k at my tv a million times after that one.

LeClair
Recchi
Roenick
Desjardins
MCGillis
Primieau

etc...

Maybe its the goalie.

If I didn't bet on Denver winning, three generations of my fiancee's family would skin me alive. :)

I used to follow the Bengals (and the mighty Boomer), but let's face it, they're hopeless, and have been for a long time.

I suspect this thread is NFL biased though

Why is it only the Americans who insist on calling it soccer...??? Every other english speaking country manages with the word football why change the name?? Sorry but it really annoys me when it's called soccer

Err.. which rubgy.... union or league... there are two variations?? Union is a proper contact sport without the full kevlar body suits and a break for a rest every 2 minutes....

Yes as you should :P

Call a sport by it's proper name... instead of changing it.

of course union :) its the only rugby, im aware theres some lasses down south that play a variation with dresses and tea parties. as for soccer, since i play american football i tend to call that football, and wussball soccer esp when talking to our american cousins as it saves misunderstandings. lets face it, it doesnt really count. its amusing training for agility now and again.

Don't forget the shoulder pads the league ladies wear ;)

yeah i heard them pyjarma party sleep overs get rough. the shocking thing is i spent 13 yrs educating my brother in the ways of union rugby, and his union under 14's team forwards wear padding. sufficed to say theres considerable amounts of pisstaking, but to be fair theyre young and it saves a few ribs and collar bones. i would have expected it from girly backs but forwards? they should all me made to play a game of american football with only a helmet and no shoulder pads like we did in training. that would teach em pain. if you aint coughin up blood you werent trying.
