What is more reasonable:"Live Help"(chat on line) or "Hotline"(support on telephone)?
Just curious....Would be gratefull if you express your opinion...

Just curious....Would be gratefull if you express your opinion... citrus 09-06-2002, 05:32 PM I myself, prefer being able to speak, and actually hear the operator's voice. Because if it's a live chat you could be talking to some 14 year old kid, without even knowing. Phone support is by far the most professional way to go...;) CoreFighter 09-06-2002, 05:37 PM Well, i don't really like talking on the phone, because I always forget something that i suppose to ask, "Live chat" or email will do me fine. :) Rotifer 09-06-2002, 05:39 PM Both are nice, but a telephone number is essential. There are some hosts that have survived without one, but I think they are in the minority. mainarea 09-06-2002, 09:33 PM If live chat is available 24/7, I don't mind, but I like a phone number for emergencies. Nocster.com doesn't provide phone support, but if the server goes down, I can always call Burst and alert them (they just won't do anything else for me over the phone). - Matt rasilva 09-06-2002, 09:47 PM Well, if you are considering international clients, live help is better. They won't pay international calls and you'll be able to understand clients with bad accent. my $0.02 floppy 09-07-2002, 01:16 AM That's very correct. For international clients you need to have live chat, but for local clients I will prefer a hotline. OldOne 09-07-2002, 12:50 PM I would like to have chat online. I do not prefer speaking to all the people calling. bruce1234at 09-07-2002, 11:49 PM live chat suits me more, especially if the host is located on the other side of the world -- i hate those long distance charges! |
