I need advise on transfering the hosting company. Currently, I have an acct set up in the new company. All I have left for is to change the nameserver. But what I don't know is,

1. Do I need to back up my files on previous server and upload later after I change the nameserver on the domain name?

2. How can I back up my mails on my previous hosting provider?

1. No you can do it once your new host has made you an account to can ftp to.

2. Is it IMAP. I assume it is. See if your Imap client can download it permently from the server
