Hello,

We have a domain reseller account on Resellerclub for years. We paid about $18000 to them until today. We chose them because their prices was cheaper than others. But they will increase their prices again soon. I know other registrars will increase their prices, too. But they will more expensive than most others. I maybe accept it. But they said what storefront(their control panel) will be deprecated soon. Everyone will use their supersite compulsorily. I tryed to use it. But it's very complex and I did not understand anything(our customers use their control panel to manage their domains only(to change dns, name servers and contact info)). All of the other
registrar control panels are more simple and more useful. I want to move to another registrar now. Can anyone recommend a domain registrar for resellers?

You already paid 18,000$. I believe they will only increase up to slab3? So, you are ok. Correct me if I am wrong.

Hi!

There is enom, resellerone and many others if you google but I would say research properly before you jump ship.

We too are with ResellerClub and paid over USD 91,000 till now but even after price hike we donot feel necessary to change.

Compare it with others after price hike and ResellerClub is STILL value for money. SuperSite is great if you start working on it, over the top it looks complex but its not. Also for every silly question you can raise a ticket with ReselleClub and you will get reply to your satisfaction.

Just my 2 cents!

the customers can still use the control panel to edit info.. the storefront is only your online shop, your face to online shoppers...i was also one of the resellers who used the storefront earlier on, but i shifted to the supersite some time back...i can understand what you say, cause intially it seemed complex even to me, but as i got used to it, i realized why they are deprecating the storefront, the supersite is so much....ask you customers opinion when they use the supersite, they like it much more than the storefront.

and anyways, the management console still remains the same..

as far as any interface it concerned it always take time to get used to any interface which has a lot of features..

and i guess you will realize this after researching, that even after the price rise, RC turns out to be cheaper than most other registrars.

Thank you everyone. Resellone offers and their control panel seems good. But I could not see their company information(address, tel, fax etc.) on their web site. This looks untrustworthy.

We don't want to use Supersite portal system. We have already a web site and accept orders by our software. We want to provide our customers a simple control panel to manage their domains only(to change dns, name servers and contact info of domains). Our customers can access to their domain control panel from an url like http://****.myorderbox.com/customer Will they be continue to access it?

I guess, ResellerClub Helpdesk should able to answer you this.

So your dhcart software uses the API or do you use the supersite interface ?

No, it doesn't use API. We register domains manually. Also we don't use supersite, too.

We have checked their system now. They had disabled storefront control panel. So anyone cannot provide domain control panel to their customers and using their portal system is necessary now. They got the worst registrar on the World now. I don't recommend them which the people looking for a registrar. Stay away from Resellerclub.

DHcart, being a Reseller myself, i think i understand your business model.
for one, you are mistaken about the storefront....the storefront was just a website from where your customers could place orders.....and since you register domains manually, you didn't need it anyway.....so the deprication doesn't matter to you at all :)

As for managing, domain names, the control panel for managing domain names is different than the storefront....and yes, there is a direct url from where your customers can access this control panel, and from here they can perform all the actions you mentioned. For me, this is an advantage because, others like resellone dont offer a control panel for each customer, like resellerclub does.

talk with your dedicated account manager at resellerclub, i think they'll be able to help you out in much more detail, and explain this to you....

also, i checked out in my control panel....the url you can provide to your customers to login and mange their domains is

xxxx.myorderbox.com, and here the customer can login and manage his account.

ps: you can modify the 'xxxx' part

You can still use your customised management URL that you have set in Settings, Supersite & Partnershote, URL, the storefront although now dead, if you go to the custom URL you have set, will just go to a login page. You can then login as customer or reseller.

Under the storefront URL, place a second URL (in addition URL) and you could also use that too. If you moved etc to a registrar that uses the OrderBox.

Chris

yes storefront is now closed for new sales and is available for customer/sub-reseller login only.

You can use the URL as suggested by "unlasheddeer" however i feel all resellers of RC are now on board in their control panel and its DAMN slow at the moment.

Cust/sub-reseller will still be able to use the url as they used before even if you modify your URL to supersite location.

There is still the login page. But they had removed the foother from the page and had changed the login form style(the page looks too bad now). Also they had put a link for Supersite on top bar(it cannot remove). Their prices increased today, too. But most other registrar did not increase their prices(for example goodaddy/wildwestdomains, resellone, aitdomains... etc).

regarding removing the 'supersite' tab from the control panel is a setting you can choose to make...

however, you might as well customize the supersite, and use it, try it. i was provided this link some time back : http://www.youtube.com/TeamResellerClub

check it, it'll help you learning all about their system, and supersite...

as for prices, well, we have all been discussing that, you might want to check out any of the other threads...all registrars, including wwd, resellone, etc. are going to raise their prices this week itself, when they do it, is the question...
