I'm still getting to grips with this whole server stuff, but I've got some questions about domain names I need some help with.

I currently have 8 domain names being hosted elsewhere which I need to change to point to my server. 4 of them are .com's and 4 of them are .co.uk's - I'm not registered to get domain names (how much that cost?) but I do have my own name server built into the RAQ4 I have. For .Com's it seems that you just change the Nameserver info - but then who picks up the bill, or how am I accountable for that? For .co.uk's I'd need someone else to retain the name as you need an ISP tag, and then have it pointing to my NameServer? - Can anybody explain to my in English (or American), or point me to a good site to read about this / help me out :)

TIA

I have multiple .coms and .co.uks pointing to my nameservers and everything works fine. You do not have to pay any extra fees for changing the nameservers of your domain.

The only time you pay a bill is when your domain expires, at which time your domain registrar will send you an email and/or letter to the contact thats listed as the billing department on your domain records.

As for .co.uks, you should try asking the domain registrar if they can change the nameservers for you. I personally use 123-reg.co.uk and I can change the nameservers for .co.uks myself! And they have the best prices by far.

Good luck!
