For the past few weeks I've been getting a lot of spam tickets to my sales & billing departments. Has anyone else been experiencing this? Anything I could do to slow down the spamming? It gets quite annoying.

FastServ 09-26-2008, 06:20 PM If you don't have really, really good spam filtering in place (either hardware based or outsourced), you're going to have this issue more and more the longer you're domain is in business. We went from 50 spam tickets a day to 1 every couple weeks since implimenting a quality hardware based spam filter. JohnJ 09-26-2008, 06:29 PM Which spam filter do you use, if I may ask? mkc 09-26-2008, 08:35 PM We were also getting flooded with spam until we moved to Mailfoundry hosted (http://www.mailfoundry.com/anti-spam/hosted_anti-spam/) + spamassassin with very high threshold (normal settings give too many false positives). Now only a couple of spams a month make it through. sebhaks 09-27-2008, 11:11 AM Early I also have the same problem and I use Captcha verification code system in my sales and support ticket pages, then spamming stopped. All the best, srenkema 09-29-2008, 12:05 PM I thought the rulers of the world ("WHT title") had all proper spamfiltering in place these days :) - are you running something open source at the moment? |
