View Full Version : Problems with registry ?
Aorozco 09-26-2008, 04:53 PM In all the day i have some problems with registrars saying cant get the email or locked in processing, but are coms.
As examples :
1 - Domaincentral have three renewals of 1 year in lock processing, and well funded
2 - Srsgenie cant get the email of one com to transfer in
3 - resellone dont send the email to 5 transfers in saying need manual processing for the email
I had other three today but the same pattern...

Hi there,
Its notthe registry, its the loosing registrars WHOIS server that is either not available, down or doesnt have the contact info (admin email addy)

Aorozco 09-26-2008, 08:16 PM Domaincentral process the three renewals. In this moment i have around 5 similar issues in transfers and i dont receive the email yet to the losing registrar. Around 8 registrars involved and 6 loser, 4 gainer.
1:
Typical LocigBoxes error, happens from time to time without any reason. If it happens with many domains from the same registry then it's likely that the registrar hasn't any funds left at the registry.
2, 3:
For .com,.net, .tv and .cc it is as Chris said. Most the time however the problem is to automatically parsing the whois output. As everyone registrar has there own output format and they change it from time to time it's quite tricky to do that. Especially when you transfer from a smaller registrar.
In case you transfer an other extension it could be a registry connection problem.
Aorozco 09-27-2008, 08:24 AM Yes rony. At this moment i have 17 transfers stalled, some to registrars without logicboxes, and the .coms are stalled. Example, i try to move the .org and .com from the same registrar to the same registrar.
The .org is completed, the com no begin yet.

When you say "same registrar to same registrar", thats probably why it isnt working... You cant do that, the registry will reject it if .com and/or .net.

As example i am moving from srsplus to resellone.net, and sone name.com to srgenie and have problems.

Yes, that's one of the logic box "features". I can't understand why they accept the transfer, handle it normal as a transfer, move the domain from one reseller to the other and just send a normal renewal to the registry.
Easier for the clients like that.

Yes, that sounds like the whois server problem then. Especially as it's almost impossible to run out of credit with Verisign as they have emergency limits for the registrars (ok, estdomains anyway managed it a few months back...).
