We are looking for a VOIP provider.

Our needs are pretty basic but would prefer a more business centric provider than say vonage.

We just need at least 3 lines.

I have used Vonage and Skype (although Vonage is much more practical in a business environment). What makes you think Vonage is not suitable to your business requirements?

I have used Teliax (http://www.teliax.com) for business services. Their service has been very reliable.

vonage seems just more consumer and only have 2 port options listed on vonage.com

we need atleast 3 ports for different lines.

You might check out Freedom IQ (http://freedomiq.mychoicevoice.com/). My roommate got one phone from them since he had a Freedom toll free number and he was very pleased with it. I got to test it out as well a little and the quality was fantastic. I know he relied on it quite a bit for a few months and he never complained. I am hoping that he will get another phone so I don't have to rely on Vonage.

Vonage is pretty good and I am pretty happy with them. But I really only use them now when I need to call friends in Mexico / Europe.

I'm currently using Vonage and have been happy with them but I just avoid listening to news about their financial situation. :D
