Hi,

I am hosting a website that I can access perfectly from most internet connections but not from my college network..

Normally I am asked for a user name and password on my site, normal.

When I am browsing from my college network the page just throws up HTTP error 401.2

From my understanding it means that the server(iis) is setup wrong but I can access it from anywhere else..

Could there be something wrong on my colleges side of things..?

Thanks for any help as this is my lifeline to my website, i need to be able to access it for remote desktop web connection, thanks again..

Can you post the tracert reports from the location where your visitors cannot access your website?

what sort of authentication are you using for the site?

I have disabled the anonymous user access to the site and am using windows authentication after that.

Sorry, but I am completely new to this side of things.. I'll figure how to do a tracert report and post it up in the next few hours..

Sounds like an issue with your college network. Try using some of the distribute ping services available on the web and see if its coming from certain geographic areas. May be you are hopping through a router that's causing the issue.
