I am looking to go with a hosting company and just found out they do not have a control panel. You just send them a message of what you want done and they do it.

The company is small but seems to have good reviews and replies quickly to questions and explains things well.

Being new to this and having no knowledge, I'm not sure this is a good idea not having a control panel. Any advise would be appreciated.

Is this shared hosting? VPS? Dedicated?

It's not uncommon for Dedicated providers to offer a no control panel option.

But from your post, it doesn't sound like we're taking Dedicated here.

For shared and VPS, it would annoy me to have to contact the host to set up an email account, a new FTP account, etc.

Shared

The company is Titan hosting

Are there any other hosting companies in uk with good support?
I don't mind paying a little more than the average for a better service.
I require 250mb to 500mb web space and 2 - 5 gb transfer / month

Thanks for your help

I think that it's better to show their URL instead of their company name only. I cannot believe that we have a company with shared hosting and without control panel.

All shared hosting account should offer Control Panel for the clients to manage his or her own account anytime without having to wait for response from the host :)

It doesn't make much sense for a shared host to not offer a control panel unless it's targeting a very small specific part of the market.
