Hello Folks,
Great site I was just turned on to. Excuse my ignorance, but can some of you offer me your opinions and suggestions?
I'll be putting up my first site in the next few weeks. It will be a small e-commerce site. My primary purpose will be to sell my products and services, (real estate related).
Hopefully, down the road, this small site becomes a larger one.
Who do I turn to for my hosting needs? What should I look for and avoid?
You opinions and experiences are very much appreciated. Thank you.

Hello,
Look for a good e-commerce host or a host that offers a shopping cart..Post your requirements in Hosting Requests forum and you will find a good one.
Good luck finding a hosting company........ :D

Choose one of the more reputable hosts posting here.
Don't pay yearly until you know the host some time.
Send an email to their email address and test how long it takes them to respond and if they treat you friendly.
Don't go with the cheapest one.

Yes I also suggest looking around seeing what people offer. Take to top and bottom prices and look right around the middle and you should be ok.. Also I suggest doing a search on them with the search option up top. As far as the ecommerce end goes I suggest 2checkout.com they have been pretty good to us and also saves you $$$ from having to get a merchant account unless your selling 5k a day in products.. well good luck.

What are your minimum specifications (drive space, Windows or Unix, etc) and what is your price point (price you are looking to spend).
