I've been with imhosted for a few years now. I have had horrible experiences with them with a lot of outages and lost data (2 days ago lost 6 months of data, they deny anything happened and have no backups).

I have been meaning to change hosts for a long time now but just haven't got the energy to wade through google trying to guess which have good SEO and which are the real deal.

Any recommendations for a host with the following features would be appreciated:

- PHP
- dedicated IP that isn't blacklisted
- fairly fast PHP processing time for some CPU intensive scripts
- MySQL (just a few needed)
- IMAP

Quality of support and uptime are important and I would easily pay an extra $10 / month for it. My budget is up to $25 / month or so.

Hello,

If you increase a little your budget you will find a VPS hosting solution.

$25/month is more than enough for a VPS solution, I'd post my ad, but I'm afraid that wouldn't be very ethical or nice, as I have just joined the site.
If you could PM me I'm sure we can work something out. Hope I didn't break any rules posting this.

I don't see why you'd need a VPS, with $25/mo you should be able to pull off 10GB on a shared hosting plan. Just make sure to keep regular backups.

Just make sure to keep regular backups.

It is always necessary to keep your own backups. However, look out for hosts who provides regular automated backups of your files/databases/emails every night and good amount of retention period.

Thanks,

- Rick

Sorry for not being able to help. But I just want to add that ImHosted is indeed useless, I've been with them 10 months and there were at least two major downtimes (more than 2 days), countless smaller downtimes and none existence support team. I hope someone told me this earlier but avoid ImHosted, Lypha or anything that has to do with them.
They also claim that I can make credit request if they failed to meet the 99.998% uptime they promised, but when I actually make the claim, they don't even bother to reply my emails.
