Is it me or has this company been wiped off the net?

Have a domain gone into redemtion period, but on sat their site wouldn't recognise my logon, and now 10-domains, and parent domain company parava.net are gone.

No response from their dns servers, nothing.

Also - best avenue for me now is a complaint through icann to try to hold onto the domain?

Yes, that is right concern. Do that as soon as you can. They are higher authority
Good luck

Looks as if all the parava/10-domains/naame.com servers, including all primary nameservers, were in Houston.

So the question becomes, how long until they're likely to be back up, as it's likely they are down due to the Hurricane.

Reading chron.com, it doesn't look good. :(

Although, people were having problems logging onto accounts and contacting them earlier than that - thread 717886

Argh.

were they registrars or resellers for another provider ?

If they are down due to hurricane, they could have atleast posted a note before or after for possible outage somewhere or here at WHT, where most customers run in such cases.

Parava Networks are registrars.

So if you have a domain expiring or already in redemption (as I do), you're pretty much screwed it seems.

I haven't had any acknowledgement from ICANN. Hopefully they haven't shunted it aside due to their "we can't help regarding registrars that don't answer emails" policy.

I opened a case with ICANN about Parava Networks not responding and there sites being down and this is there response:

Thank you for your email. Please see the news reports regarding hurricane Ike and Houston being devastated. Parava Networks is located in Houston and will require some time to resume business. Please be patient. Best regards, ICANN

Please do not despair, we were down after Ike and it took us a while to be back up due to problems with our T1, which actually is not our fault at all, we depend on MCI's capacity to put us back up. Our systems were intact and by the Monday after Ike hit we had our power restored.
So, we have not gone out of business and we were not ignoring your emails/calls, we just could not get to the internet due to problems with our T1 as I mentioned earlier.
Also, just to dissipate versions about us going out of business, NOT happening any time soon and we will continue to upgrade our system and listen to your suggestions.

Hello,

I just went to renew my Domain and it appears that 10-Domains is not up right now. Is this just maintenance or something wrong?

Thank you,

Jeff
