View Full Version : Netacore Support Links Broken?
kjedwards 09-05-2002, 04:19 AM Hi
Can anyone tell me how to access Netacore support / board?
I find links from their web site are broken ie
http://support.netacore.com
http://bb.netacore.com
I emailed to Netacore some time ago about these broken links but they still appear broken.
I should say that if I have a support issue I have been emailing support and they have always responded very quickly.
So I am just wondering why the broken links on their web site - www.netacore.com (or am I using an old url for Netacore?)
Thanks
Kevin
The links I tried from http://help.netacore.com/ are working okay.

kjedwards 09-05-2002, 06:06 AM Hi
I get a Page Cannot Be Displayed - Cannot find server or DNS Error Internet Explorer.
Any ideas?

Have you installed a firewall recently, or perhaps modified your security options?

kjedwards 09-05-2002, 07:14 AM Hi
No. I am using IE6, recently downloaded and installed the Security Update but I could't access the support site before then - I could access it prior to sign up and for a couple of weeks after that but then Page Cannot Be Displayed
I assume this page is a standard html page. The only thing is I have set is High Safety on Java and disabled unsigned ActiveX controls in IE6
This is really the only site I have problems getting access to - weird
Any further thoughts?
Thanks
Kevin
kjedwards 09-05-2002, 07:17 AM Further to the above I also have MEDIUM set for Privacy in IE6

kjedwards 09-06-2002, 04:41 AM Errr It's gone again - cannot access Netacore support or forum links
This is doing my head in!
Netacore Router server also seems incredibly slow.
Anyone know what is going on?
Thanks
Kevin
It's gotta be your end Kevin - those links are still alive for me.

kjedwards 09-06-2002, 04:59 AM Hi
It seems I can access everything in the main Netacore domain ie www.netacore.com/... but nothing in their sub domains.
Where to start looking?
Everything was fine yesterday after the initial connection was made. I haven't changed anything since then.
Thanks
Kevin
kjedwards 09-06-2002, 05:10 AM Hi
I have just fired up Opera to see if that will let me access Netacore Support, BB, etc.
Opera gives me a 'Could not locate remote server' error.
Are the links you are seeing from your browser cache?
Thanks
Kevin

Links back up now - there must be problems at the Netacore end

netacore 09-06-2002, 09:57 AM I will look into your problem ...
But from what I see, the main server has been running optimally for ~60 days without errors.
In the meantime, I suggest you invest in a free dialup ISP for backup purposes.
Thanks.
kjedwards 09-06-2002, 12:39 PM Hi
Thanks for that Norm, I think it is a periodic problem - maybe someone running something intensive - I don't actually use the site on your server very often but over the last few days I have noticed dramatic slow down from time to time both access via browser and also ftp, then it speeds up to normal. I thought it may be the connection my end but access to other sites seems fine. But I am on a British Telecom ADSL connection so you can never tell!
Thanks
Kevin
PS I am on router
