When I first started seeing previews for this, before it started, I was like, "Oh My God. This is so stupid, what will they come up with next?" Then I saw how Simon was such an ass and how mean he was in such a funny way. Told myself I would only watch the judging episodes, not the ones where they were performing, and I ended up watching all of them :D

And I cared who won. I HATE Justin. He is so ugly and goofy looking, hehe.

I guess I don't care b/c I never even saw one episode.

The thing that really scares me is the number of truly horrid 'reality show' ideas that are on the block.

The Beverly Hillbillies - Show will take a family from some backwater town and place them in Beverly Hills for 1 year. Complete with expense account , butler and maid... Then film the 'reality' of the situation.


Theres also rumored to be a Green Acres style reality show in the works..


Thank god I have cable and can watch something intelligent on Discovery

Ever heard of American Idol?

That show made me sick! It was dumb, it proves that TV execs truly can't come up with anything interesting.

American Idol was a Fox TV show that ran all summer. It was a sort of Survivor/Big Brother style talent show basically. First they did auditions around the country and chose a bunch of singers from those, and week by week, bit by bit, they knocked the number of contestants down. Viewers voted by calling a phone number. The winner was announced last night. Winner gets a recording contract, heaps of publicity and a single released this month. I think a CD in time for Christmas too, not sure.

I didn't want to care, but I did, and I was happy with who won.

Well, we got sucked in every now and then when I flicked past it via the remote. Wasn't somethign I made sure I watched, but I always like seeing talented singers, and there were some there. I just rather hate the slow songs without much to them.

Showtime at the Apollo has some decent acts as well. Young, talented performers who are trying to make it. I dig on that stuff.

Once they release the album, I'm out, heh. Of course that's the whole point of the show, so I suppose in the end it doesn't interest me. Similar to 'Making the Band' I guess...

Kelly woulda been an idol; with or without that show.

Garbage like this wouldn't make it to TV if most of americans weren't foolish enough to watch. Says alot about us as a people. Pathetic really.
