View Full Version : Reseller account getting finalized. any ideas for cheaper options?
priceline 09-13-2008, 11:27 AM I have been researching on reseller account for the past few days, and finally decided with jaguarpc because:
20$ for 25g space/250gb bandwidth; with lifetime 25% coupon, it will be 15$.
billing software
client control panelAny way to sweeten this deal through resellers out here?
iHubNet-Matt 09-13-2008, 11:51 AM I don't think you will get any offers here because its strictly against WHT rule. Why do you want cheaper options only. You never interested in quality or such other relevant aspects?
priceline 09-13-2008, 12:00 PM Sorry, I didnt know that.
No, I am not asking for other cheaper options. I am asking if i can save more with better coupons or any decent alternatives. Thanks,
SoundsGood 09-13-2008, 12:08 PM 25% off for LIFE? Nice.
01globalnet 09-13-2008, 12:30 PM Just an advice: you get what you pay for. 99% this is true.
Do not host your clients on best deal reseller plans. It is your business and if anything goes wrong your customers will blame you.

I heard good things about jaguarpc, even few recommended them. I figured jaguarpc, hostnine, some gator, etc,.
Among these jaguarpc's prices are better at this point. Though hostnine is much cheaper for the first year, it is expensive after one year.
If you have any other suggestions, I am still open. Thanks,
mrzippy 09-13-2008, 05:46 PM If you're hosting client websites on a $15/month reseller account... you're most likely asking for trouble.
Running a good business is not always about getting the cheapest provider so you can make the most money. That's usually a great way to end up with unhappy customers...

It will be useful if you can suggest the alternate and better service provider. With Hostnine, i cannot resell the reseller account. So that is not my option unless I miss something.
priceline 09-13-2008, 06:38 PM I just checked and noticed HostGator has best reviews on the web and in WHT. Their plans start at 25$, but they have 20% off coupon for the first payment, which makes it 20$ for the first one year.
How are these guys? Seems like i get all the tools I need with this also. Thanks again.
SoundsGood 09-13-2008, 06:47 PM I agree, HostGator seems to be about the best. I'm debating between them and ResellerZone, since ResellerZone offers end-user support. If you don't care about end-user support, I would personally choose HostGator.
By the way, isn't that price a *monthly* charge? (not yearly)

Are you sure hostgator doesn't give end user support?
Yes, I meant to say is 20$ per month for the first one year, then 25$.
what is resellerzone's website? Google always giving hostgator when i searched for it.

I asked them last week. They said NO.

Oh, I see. I didn't realize you could pay for a yr up front. That's not bad.

ldcdc 09-13-2008, 07:44 PM lifetime 25% coupon Make sure that the coupon is not expired. I have a hunch it might be.
Are you sure hostgator doesn't give end user support? It's true, they don't. They support you, but you will have to support your customers.
