Hello Everyone,

Six months ago I purchase two hosting company with two Resellerclub account with $1400 and $3000 total receipt.

Two days ago and Just today I received few emails regarding charge back against few transaction of total amount above $1200.

I got shocked. After searching I found that all of these transaction are made in December, November & October of 2007.
So that transaction are 8, 9 and 10 months old.

Email that I received from Resellerlcub, they write "chargeback against transaction no, xxxxxx" but in support ticket they write "This transactions are held by PayPal.".

What should I do now. How to face this issue. Please advice.
Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your advice.

As I said, I purchase these two Resellerclub account with purchasing two hosting company six months ago. And the transaction made eight to ten months ago. That transaction not made by me. So I can't check it.

Also I heard that there is no chargeback or payment held happen after six months of transaction for paypal. Is it true.

I response Resellerclub on first email, also settle that amount.
But now I am worried, how to start with them.

Please advice. Thanks in advance.

Contact ResellerClub sales and ask who your account manager is and speak with them (via email or p[hone). I think everyone is assigned one. They should be able to help you.

Think the name and email address of this person is stored in your control panel under your personal information.

Is it right to change Resellerclub account ownership with purchasing hosting company?

I believe you are fine to transfer a account with the sale of a company from past enquiries I've made.

You will need to tell the full story in order to have any chance of having the issue resolved.

PayPal, an eBay Company

I also contact with one of prevous admin former hosting company-
He told-
We are not only fund directi, we also fund with other famous register, ssl issuer and data center at same time. Transaction with none of them seems any problem. Its only with directi. I think its between directi and paypal. Also a payment cannot hold after 8, 9 and 10 months of payment. I provide 90% user domain registration service 1 year, hosting service for 1 month, ssl for 1 year. I fund with directi what I get from my client. Its 10 months gone after receive payment from clients and made to payments directi. So directi need to solve this problem with paypal.

Dear WHT member, please advice me at this point. I am very much frustrated now.

what kind of chargebacks were those ?
Iam sure they were the claimed funds which he sent to directi by adding funds to his account. customer made payments goes to your account first and not to directi DIRECTLY.

If your company previous owners funded their directi account using paypal you need to ask the previous owner to provide you atleast screenshots that he funded using his genuine source of funds.

I don't want to blame the person whom u purchased from, but certainly if they added funds using paypal earlier and they charged back the credit card used, you are at loss of bearing the pains and money involved.

Ask the seller to provide you atleast some proofs as it was he who added funds and should be knowing where it came from.

Resellerclub just suspend all of my domain, without any alert.

Very pathetic. What should I do now. How I pay them if my leave me and I need to hide.

Did you guy ever face held payment after 10 months of making payment?

I update support ticket with my explain and request to unsuspend but keep locking. I also told them I able to contact one of previous company admin, now contacting other, who will help me on paypal issue.
But it needs some time.

But they not replied.
Seems that they only reply once a day.

didn't you checked the previous owners address before buying ?

If you have contact details, hire a lawyer and call the guys who SOLD you the so called company, your lawyer would be able to explain to them how serious it could be if he proves that charge-back was done after the sale of company.

Resellerclub on few issues behaves like a 9 yr. old kids, but once you are in with thousands of domains, the traffic is one way :-) .....

Thank you for your advice.

Previous owner is two.
I checked address of one. And able to contact with him.
Now trying get contact with other who operate paypal.

On the contrary, I still didn't receive any reply from resellerclub.

Please also help on-

@ Is there any difference between chargeback and payment held in paypal.

What's wrong with resellerclub.
Seems that they are in debit note issue and paypal held up competition.

Now they start raise debit note for payment from- Jun 4, 2007.
I think as they know, I get this reseller account with purchasing hosting company, and I have no access where fund is made before, they will raise debit note for all of that transaction.

Dosen't it against paypal rules also.
I heard even a credit card chargeback not possible after six months of payment.
