Is just me? or this two designs are too similar?

The bad side is that's a member of WHT, to which I contacted trying to resolve the issue, and instead of change the design, he tried to block my IP on site, which I found quite ridiculous with all the web proxies around.

The thumbnails are really small but from a distance, they look similar. Unfortunatley though, thats the way a lot of designers work. They get their ideas from other sites. He did change the colors and from the looks of it, they are not that great. The money back image is definatly identical, he even left the day on there but didnt put a number on there, odd. Its actually a compliment to you that he likes your design that much. As far as the plans being ripped off, its unfortunate. I generally look at other sites to see how I will do mine but I end up doing it my way in the end, just with a little help from others.

The oddest part is that he's using a design that i previously denounced to Softlayer and it was removed (reference thread http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=718377 )Only the logo and the header was changed a bit from that design. I told to the actual owner of the site using the ripped design, but he refuse to change it. Instead of resolve the issue, the owner keep blocking my IPs (since it's ADSL I can change it all the time)

No, you're completely wrong, is not a template, is a custom design (the original) the rippoff site have a mixture of the header of a template monster template and a rippof of our site.

Remember that alot of people design their sites from inspiration from other sites and will use some of the design but change it quite much, but it was pretty clear here that his site was a mere copy and that is just not right. I am sorry to hear about this. But you stood your ground. He is not to reputable if you start swearing and acting like that. Does that how he treats clients that are angry?

No doubt he will be back under a different name...

Most likely they are using this whole episode as an excuse to close their "business".

That's the problem with template sites,everyone can have access to them and most never customize them beyond what they get in the template.

The cost may be a tad more , but it pays to just have a site professionally created especially if you're trying to make a business successful. The way a site looks and feels can make or break your business.

Maybe in a few weeks we'll see powermegahosting.com opening business :D
