Hey Guys,

I was wondering if any of you could guide me to how we can register ourselves to be part of http://webservices.cnet.com/

Thanks in advance.

1.25 for each click we get in addtion to the $ 250 ?

Now what is the average click through one might expect?

It is 250/mo for upto 250 clicks. After that it is $1.25/click. Each additional catagory is $250 with no 'free' clicks.

You can get 1000s of clicks! And there is no throttle. CNet is great for a certain market. If your pricing is low, and you offer basic support - No toll free or true 24/7, then there are better directories to advertise in. However, if you have some advanced offerings, then it may be worth it for you. You will need to look at who advertises there. Compare that to some of the other directories around.

Can you recommend other good realistic directories? Right now we have some ad's running on Google Adwords but havent' really seen "amazing" results on that.

The best marketing we have seen so far is word of mouth. I know its tried and tested but it seems when Person A tells Person B about Company D, Person B automatically develops a trust in Company D. And trust is what it's all about.

Do a search for "Directories" here. There are a few threads that list over 25 to choose from.

Personally, we have always liked Webhostdir, top host, and host search. Althought there are a lot of smaller ones that do well too.

We bought space on cnet, and it didn't do much for us. $1000 down the drain. Could have bought a whole lotta toys with that. :)
