Ok, This isn't a sales pitch or anything..

But rather a survey .

While we're building up ioserver.net we've been working with companies to set us up with an infrastructure for a toll-free solution that can route extensions to numbers other than the datacenter.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a service that would let them configure a 800 voice gateway to map to 5-10 numbers, be it cell phones, home numbers, etc..

The pricing that we can get is pretty cheap, about the cost of a hosting account.

This would let small companies have a fortune 500 type number, and have voicemail, and extensions.

each extension can be mapped to different phone numbers in the us/canada and each can be configured as far as what time it will call it, etc.. There can also be a list of unlimited phone numbers that it will try before going to a voicemail.

If this could be beneficial to the hosting business, we'll start offering it.

Let me know your thoughts on this, and please put any comments and questions as well.

(just to follow the rules.... mods: this is not a sales pitch, we're not offering anything yet)

You mean like ureach.com? We use them (their premium package) for about $20 a month. Can you beat that?

We use AccessLine (www.accessline.com) and have generally been pleased with their service. Unless they raise their rates though or someone comes up with something that's just so much better, we won't be switching because it took us long time to get all of our scheduling setup.

Any chance of supporting VoiceXML and international transfer (we pay of coure)?

If so - then we might be interested depending on price.

We talked to some companies that support VoiceXML (such as Voxeo) but they require a minimum usage of US$1000 per month which is out of our budget.

I think there is scope if you could arrange for forwarding to international locations as Im sure most hosts based outside the US would like to have a toll free number in the US.
