If so, any tips? LMS MIS 09-04-2002, 06:27 PM you can't just install it on a default Redhat machine install. It needs to be partitioned a certain way with certain services enabled/disabled. Good luck getting Rackshack to re-install your machine with that specific partitioning cause they wont! They sell you as-is machines. They do sell servers with Ensim pre-installed for you though at no monthly fee. I reccomend that. Got 2 with them that way and have had no problems. Just watch the buggers when they try to get you for bandwith overages they can't prove you used! The only place i have found that will partition a server to your needs is FDC servers, although i haven't been able to install Ensim on my box there, others have. AntiSpamHosts 09-05-2002, 01:06 AM Unfortunately, RackShack has its disadvantages, this being one. Like LMS MIS said, it's easier to have it pre-installed. Just offer someone $25 to help you install it, it usually works that way. :eek2: I should hide from Robert Marsh, he will come to ban me for disrespecting RackShack :eek2: mushrew 09-05-2002, 10:41 PM " They do sell servers with Ensim pre-installed for you though at no monthly fee. " Their Ensim 1.7ghz servers are $10 more a month, I was hoping to be able to save that (that's an extra month of service over the course of a year!) "Just offer someone $25 to help you install it, it usually works that way. " According to LMS isn't that not possible? |
