Is there any software like pcanywhere for linux.
Pcanywhere is for NT only but not for linux.
Please tell me software for linux so that I can get full control of server in GUI.

Have a look at http://www.xlink.com/ and http://www.xlink.com/eval.htm they have evaluation versions as the FULL versions COST $$. I have been using Omni-X on Windows.

I find it works most of the time but does crash sometimes (if you open too many windows, or there is too much in 1 window). It uses LOADS of bandwidth but as I have only used it on 100Mbit/s duplex links it didn't matter.

If anyone knows of something like this that is FREE and as good or better please post as I would like to get something more stable.

VNC seems to have the sam functionality and is free.

Yes it sounds good, I will try it sometime but you have to install things onto the server.

You might want to use Exceed. We use it to connect to our Sun boxes with a virtual X session.
