I guess we've all forgotten that X is *designed* to run on a remote display. :)

I am looking for software like http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/
not webmin or ensim
Please tell me software like http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/ or pcanywhere for linux
Have a look at http://www.xlink.com/ and http://www.xlink.com/eval.htm they have evaluation versions as the FULL versions COST $$. I have been using Omni-X on Windows.
I find it works most of the time but does crash sometimes (if you open too many windows, or there is too much in 1 window). It uses LOADS of bandwidth but as I have only used it on 100Mbit/s duplex links it didn't matter.
If anyone knows of something like this that is FREE and as good or better please post as I would like to get something more stable.

d'oh -- I just realized this was posted above. Sorry for the redundancy.
Yes it sounds good, I will try it sometime but you have to install things onto the server.

You might want to use Exceed. We use it to connect to our Sun boxes with a virtual X session.
