Oookay, does anyone know... do the tera-byte plans support subdomains!?

In that, I want to point subdomains, to the subdirectories.

I am thinking of signing up for their plan #4, but I really want subdomains.

I sent them an email - and recieved a reply saying that I'd have to use something like their Redirection.net and then I could have subdomains - (if thats the case, I could probably use zoneedit.com and instead of redirection.net?)

BUT, I talked to an NOC in their chat room... and was told, No, I can't use subdomains.

I went in another time and asked, and was told that they can use wildcards for subdomains. So if I sign up with them, I just need to drop them an email each time I want a subdomain.

So I've got three different stories here.

Does anyone know which one is correct?!

Many thanks! :)

With Tera-byte you have all subdomains wildcarded to the main site. I have a site with them and from everything I have tried the only way to have a second domain go to a directory is with redirection either with their service redirection.net at $5.00 or mydomain.com or zoneedit.com which are free. I have not been able to find a way of making either service totally independant in that they all use a frame to cloak the name and if someone opens in a new page then your main domain is in the address window. Not a problem if you don't care that someone can see this.

why not just use a simple redirection script like lighting re-direct?

Can you give a bit more info? Where and what it does ie: are you talking about a script that grabs a domain pointed to the main one and opens in a sub-directory?

Hm, you can even write your own like this, just parse HttP variable, and do a redirection... Not so fast, but at least, it's free.

I would probably use lightning redirect, but im not sure if it works.
