I'm glad I found this forum. Posted my first question in the wee hours of the morning.

Looking to make the jump from shared to VPS - can't find a provider that meets my needs and delivers what they advertise.

High level of frustration finding a reliable service provider.

Nearly crazy enough to just do it myself - go out and buy some servers and routers and facility space... That crazy thought has crossed my mind. Can't afford a T1 and not too sure that other broadband options would work.

I'm not a reseller - I build and run some online applications for various organizations.

Since you are new, you may not know about the Offers Section of WHT. Check it out! You should find some pretty cool deals. Once you find opions, look for soem reviews on the company. Get on live chat with each of the companies that make the first round of cuts and ask questions important to your needs. Hope this helps.
