View Full Version : Putting sales hours to 16x7 or 24x7?

How many people have experminted with 24 hours sales/live chat sales? We were at 8/5 and then increased it to 16/5 but I'm debating if there is anything to be gained increasing it further to having full 16/7 or 24/7. Looking at website stats and off hour email says probably the weekend coverage is worth it but not the out of hours. Does anyone have practical expierence to suggest otherwise or is it best to test and see?

It depends on your audience. Just realize, if you test it for too long, people tend to get upset when they use it and it disappears.

I have employee's from my other business man my Support for the hosting company as well.


24x7 isnt really required until you start hosting many many people in many parts of the world.

Under a different company name, we had 1400 clients, and support slowed to a mere crawl from 3am to 6am.

24/7 is best, because the time vary in different countries.
You will loss many customers if you go offline.

Didnt you notice the signature of that user? It says it all! :D

And I dont think 24x7 helps 'that much' when your client base is 90 : 10 in favor of local clients.

16x7 should be just fine!
