Hello. Right, basically, I have a domain with 1and1.co.uk (adzp.co.uk) and I've found out they've locked the domain to them, meaning I can't get it.

Now this domain is a PR2 domain worth a lot to myself, and I don't want to lose it, so... Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get my domain back from them?

I've been sending emails back & forth for nearly a week, and they won't do a thing about it. They've locked me out the contract system aswell so I can set the IPS tag for transfer. I ask them to do it via email and they tell me the exact same thing.

I phoned them up yesturday, and they cut me off half way though me asking "Can't you do it for me?" So I phoned back up, and had another go, but least I'm getting my £85 back from them.

I just find them very unprofessional and thiefs, I paid for that domain, and I can't get it off them

Thanks,
Adam.

What do you mean, "they have locked the domain to them" and that you can't get it back?

It's your domain, it's registered in your name. It's a .uk so if they won't change the tag you can go to Nominet and change the tag without involving your current registrar.

I am guessing there is more to this whole thing than the information you have given us as registrars wouldn't just lock people out of their account unless there has been some issue. But as it's a .uk and it's registered in your name I don't understand what makes you think that you've lost it.

Adz,

Lubeca is 100% correct, did you not get an email from nominet when you registered it?

If not, call 01865 332211 on Monday, ask for registrant services, £11.75 later, the domain TAG is changed :)

They will request email address etc at registration, but all should be simple.

Kind regards,
Chris

Were you suspended?

They agreed to a refund, but refuse to give the domain back?

I suppose you can take the above advice, and go beyond 1and1.
To the place they resell domain registrations from...
