Hey

What/who does everyone use for their stock art??
I like istock as well as dreamstime and I know gettyimages (which is kinda expensive) so what other sites do people use that have a large collection of stock art for a decent pay as you go price

Thanks all

istockphoto.com is great! But it's getting quite expensive also.

Corbis and Alamy are also quite similar to Getty.
Istockphoto and Bigstockphoto are much cheaper and very popular.
Then there's also the paid sister site to sxc.hu.

When I first need something I use sxc.hu. I use the free ones, but they have some paid ones too. Good enough for free, I often get ideas and inspiration from there. ;)

I've searched over and over and can't find a better competitor to iStock Photo! The trick is trying to find the balance between a good price and a large library of quality photos in one place. iStock continues to lead the way in both areas. I really don't think it gets better than iStock.

Thanks for your reply ya I use mostly istock but was wondering if their is anyplace with a bigger collection of not only photos but also vectors and even music. I see Gettyimages now has music
but price is also a big issue as I continue to try to use vendors with the lowest price :-)

istock for me as well, if you shop around you can get excellent images cheap.

Istockphoto, bigstockphoto, corbis, getty images all are good if you want to buy and use. Free images rarely serve your purpose specially when you need it for any specific category.

I use istock also. I usually try to get vector images where i can change them in illustrator and use the images in any way i can. They can be a little more expensive but it's all good if you can do anything you want to them :D

Yes, we can do that also. Nice idea.
