This is a vast market and there will always be a room for everyone. There cannot be saturation. I feel it is a growing market with a lot of scope.

I'm surprised at the figures. I was hoping that people that voted would also put why they voted it.

I voted for:

Only if you have capital to spend on advertising and quality services.

Why:
I see a lot of people getting into the hosting business with the idea that they can make a quick buck. They forget that customers actually need support.

None of those choices seemed quite right, so I didn't vote.

My vote would have been:

There is plenty of room in the hosting market for resellers doing value adds or companies with lots of capital to get started as a real hosting company.

I agree - those choices were not so great. Honestly, I think anytime there are new customers coming into a new space then there's room for new providers.

If you plan on offering general hosting to genaral business (or person) then be prepared to spend lot of time and a lot of money. The big brands are into defensive spending mode to protect their brand and raise the barriers to entry.

Find a tight tight niche! Build your brand around it. No niche is too small or too tight. That's the best way to get into this industry today, no matter what kind of ad dollars you got!
