Mortin 09-03-2002, 10:17 AM hi i ordered a server there friday
it is now tuesday
no mail, no server. now their webpage is down. i emailed them friday and i emailed them again this morning - no response.
what is going on????
edude 09-03-2002, 10:18 AM They resell Rackshack.net servers, try contacting Rackshack :)
I believe the owner of Saburovo is very good friends with Robert Marsh (owner of rackshack).
Which email box do you use? Write to support@saburovo.com.

Mortin 09-03-2002, 10:34 AM k
AussieHosts 09-03-2002, 01:27 PM Denis is back from a business trip tomorrow, and I'm not sure about the Saburovo site itself, but everything else is fine and response via the email address above is as quick as usual.
Cheers
Gary
Mortin 09-03-2002, 04:09 PM still no response
Mortin 09-03-2002, 08:03 PM it's now 8:10 PM over four days since i ordered... i have gotten an email from them saying the manager was out of the office, and no time i will get my server. so much for the "free trial" they promise...
LMS MIS 09-03-2002, 08:49 PM that Dennis guy emailed me last night
remember i dont think he is in the US (europe/england) i think so maybe the guy is asleep
ever think of that?
anyway his sales staff should handle your request reguardless of him being there or not
try emailing them at sales@saburovo.com
i emailed him yesterday around this time an he didn't respond till around 3 am CST
clocker1996 09-04-2002, 07:11 AM his sales staff ?
I don't think he has a staff for sales, otherwise my emails to sales@ would of been answered
also, saburovo support has been good for the most part but lately ive been emailing and i get no responses
e.g. last night at 10pm tues i emailed about one of my servers to support@
still no response
Mortin 09-04-2002, 05:43 PM SIX DAYS NOW - NO RESPONSE, NO ETA OF SERVER.... looks like a scam company to me.
Mortin 09-04-2002, 09:42 PM 10pm now.. still no word
jayjay 09-04-2002, 09:47 PM If the charge went through and you have proof of the order, all I can say is contact headsurfer@rackshack.net
clocker1996 09-05-2002, 12:58 AM nah
they aren't a scam trust me
i dunno what the delay is about though.
Mortin 09-05-2002, 10:43 AM contacted rackshack they said there is nothing they can do. still have not heard from them
Norton 09-05-2002, 11:07 AM We're in the same boat. We paid for a server on August 28th. There were some delays so Denis refunded the subscription and then had us resubmit on the 30th once things were ready. We were very happy about that.
The flip side is that after about 6 emails since the 30th, we're still waiting for our additional IPs (so we can set up the nameservers) and for him to submit our PTR record to RackShack so AOL stops rejecting email and some of the functionality on our servers starts working properly.
It's been a black hole sending email with no response. We're glad we didn't have an actual outage or something.
Our encounter with him started off very well, but he'll definitely need to do some explaining as to why we haven't even gotten a "we're working on it" acknowledgement. It leaves a very uneasy feeling in our stomachs should we have REAL problems later.
NP
Mortin 09-05-2002, 11:14 AM at least you got your server though!
Will Rackshack setup a PTR record on your IP addresses??
Norton 09-05-2002, 11:54 AM I've contacted them and gotten no response (just like at Saburovo). If anyone knows someone at RackShack and could get them to do it (since they have to do it anyway) I'd really appreciate it!
NP
AussieHosts 09-05-2002, 12:14 PM Norton, have you tried support@saburovo.com? We got some IPs through yesterday.
Gary
Norton 09-05-2002, 03:28 PM Multiple times. I've also used sales@saburovo.com. I'm just ignored.
clocker1996 09-05-2002, 03:35 PM interesting
i've been emailing also and haven't gotten any responses
Darth 09-05-2002, 03:39 PM Email probs?
LMS MIS 09-05-2002, 03:47 PM check your "saburovo" spelling maybe??
maybe whatever domain you are emailing from is blocked
why don't you try calling them?

Sad. Well, if you are unwilling to make a call outside your own country, then I suggest that you don't do business with anyone outside your country.
Don't know what the phone cal prices are in US, but from Australia, I can ring someone in the US at a lower cost than I can ring someone in another Australian state!
wierd, eh!

directtech 09-05-2002, 09:28 PM Is this normal for them? I need to order about 10 servers.
revirus 09-05-2002, 09:29 PM im kinda happy that i am not alone. :(
i ordered one server on last Thursday. Two more servers on Saturday. No reponse yet. is he still alive?
i hope he is not one of terrorists who needs to hide from CIA. :)

If you use 101-6868, it only costs 7.9 cents per minute to call the UK. Just thought you might want to know. I'mm calling them tomorrow. I'll give everybody the scoop.

I never cease to be amazed by the leaps of logic, and the conclusions that are drawn in this forum.

clocker1996 09-05-2002, 10:12 PM directtech,
if you need to order 10 servers
why not go with RS directly
also, if you are wanting to order 10 servers, why order 10 servers from a company that takes days to reply ?
that would hurt your business / whatever you would be using the 10 servers for... wouldnt it?

but i kinda worry about Denis. There must be something happened to him.

You have a valid point. Do they give volume discounts?

Is it just my connection or is www.saburovo.com down??
Hostkookster 09-06-2002, 04:14 AM Down on the West coast. :(
Hmm... I'm having no problem pinging the server saburovo.com is on??
Well at least it shows RS haven't pulled the plug.

I don't think so. Maybe, guess you'll have to ask them.
if you don't mind me asking, what do you need 10 servers for anyway? :)
directtech 09-06-2002, 11:07 AM I'm going to call them in the later today. It's late at night there so I'll have to call them tonight.
I order 10 at a time because I sell them so fast. I'll have them sold within 2 weeks so I like to have them ready instantly. Does anybody know of anyplace else thhat offers unmetered bandwidth at that price?
AussieHosts 09-06-2002, 12:24 PM We've received word that Denis' communication problem is serious...and that support matters are still fine but management/admin matters can't be resolved right now.
Anybody who has dealt with Denis, or those that monitor support@saburovo (Vladimir especially) would know that this is very out of character for Denis and that support matters are always tended to. So we're not worried, but rather more hopeful that Denis' own matters are not too troublesome.
I can't advise those who are waiting for new services to be brought online other than do what you have to do...but there are no outages and no lack of support from Saburovo and I trust Denis will make good on the lack of communication as quickly as possible.
Cheers
Gary
directtech 09-06-2002, 12:32 PM I did get a reply from them. THey are working on it.
Norton 09-06-2002, 12:59 PM Working on what? Replying to everyone? Fixing an email problem? Details would be great.
We still haven't heard back.

exactly - I am not all the way through this thread yet, but it seems kind of weird business practice to me. You won't even call your supplier to check them out, get to know them, verify why it is you are handing over your hard earned money to them. Do people lack such simple business acumen these days?
thesmallguyshost 09-06-2002, 01:38 PM I probably can't help most of you, but if any of you are needing assistance with Cpanel issues please contact me as I will be glad to help. I assist Denis with Cpanel and he usually forwards Cpanel issues/questions to me.
I don't know any details what's up with Denis but he's one of the best so hang in there.
revirus 09-06-2002, 03:35 PM *sigh* "he is one of best guy" that's why I ordered my servers... now what?
Mortin 09-07-2002, 12:51 AM what the hell
it has been a week now. no email., no server.
im filing a complaint with the BBB and paypal.
johnallen 09-07-2002, 02:31 AM I ordered a cpanel server from him when he first started. Someone installed Cpanel over a ensim install and I contact Cpanel and they fixed it.
It does take them atleast 24 hours to usually respond to emails. This is one of the reasons I decided not to continue business with them.
Denis is a nice guy. He refunded my money. I'm sure he just needs to straighten out the communication problems between his company and it's customers. Then everything will be fine.
revirus 09-07-2002, 02:50 AM to be nice or to be professional. this is the question. i think we know the answer. ;)
Mortin 09-08-2002, 04:29 PM i reported it to paypal
hopefully i can get my money back
still no word from them. i have since ordered from rackshack and everything is great with them
matt_01 09-08-2002, 06:41 PM Im not really a customer of him, but as far I know that the support department + tech guys are working fine, but they "lost communications with him few days ago" Dont know whats going on..
@Mortin: Im sure dennis will be back very soon..
Email (Vladimir Sergeev) admin@saburovo.com about ur order..
If u need any help with ur servers, feel free to ask me

Mortin 09-09-2002, 08:14 PM this company scammed me.... i have yet to hear from them
i am just praying that paypal can save the $200 they stole from me.
directtech 09-09-2002, 08:44 PM wow, and to think i almost gave them $2k
Mortin 09-09-2002, 08:45 PM dont do that dude. i bought a server. NEVER HEARD ANYTHING FROM THEM. all money got transfered.
i have filed claim with paypal. paypal is waiting for reply from them (me too). we will see what happens
been a couple weeks now
clocker1996 09-09-2002, 08:54 PM well all i know is that only one person is in charge of delivering the servers / selling. that is denis. for some reason he has disappeared. it is not usual for denis to just disappear and ignore emails. so something must be seriously wrong.
could be anything. health condition, who knows.
one thing i find odd. i emailed support asking where denis is, or whenever i email support about denis, i get no reply.
when i email support regarding a server issue, they reply.
all i can say is they aren't a scam. say what you want, but i have 4 servers with them, so.......
AussieHosts 09-09-2002, 09:02 PM We have learnt that Denis did have a contingency plan for these situations, and that someone else has stepped up to the plate in his place. Given that Vladimir/support@ is still answering, I think "scam" is a bit harsh. Mortin, no doubt this has frustrated the hell out of you mate. Have you emailed support@ as they are definitely answering...but the admin/sales side of things is probably far behind now.
Mortin, if you need to get some sites up in a hurry I'd be happy to help. We can sort out the details later.
Regards
Gary

I think they're right up against a wall on this one...and probably inundated to say the least. That doesn't excuse the matter, and it'd probably be best if they tapped into the site and pulled down the order links now though.

After reading about this company in a few spots in this forum, I decided to see if "anybody was at home" at saburovo, so I sent in a phony pre-sales questions. It didn't take long to get an answer. I've reversed the order of the communication to give an easier interpretation of the time line:

Subject: RACKSHACK 1000 DEDICATED SERVERS - pre-sales questions
Hello,
Your deals look great, but I have one general question. I've been reselling for a couple of years, and have about 60 clients. I would like to move up to dedicated, but need to know if WebHost Manager will be enough for me to manage the server, and what kind of help is available if I need it?
Toodles,
Diana777

Hello!
Our servers is un-managed. We provide support for 24/7 reboots, hardware problems and small software maintenance.
You need a system administrator or you can install monitoring programs or services (like easymonitor.com).
================
So "somebody's" home... looks like Russia is "home" for the RackShack reseller.
[posting this in the other threads regarding this company]
AussieHosts 09-10-2002, 10:00 AM The UK is "home" for Saburovo, however Denis has some Russian people doing support. The name Vladimir gave that away, and he is the one that usually answers support@.
24/7 monitoring of support@ was only introduced about 3 months ago.
Cheers
Gary
matt_01 09-10-2002, 10:01 AM Diana777, whats wrong with that ?
saburovo.com provides ur with good service (un-managed )
If ur looking for a managed Server ( company how does software install. /update /firewall/backup for you ) search this fourm for "managed Server" ;-)
Matt
AussieHosts 09-10-2002, 10:06 AM Naturally folks have become concerned about the lack of admin/sales contact...that's to be expected. Mortin might like to update us as to whether Denis' replacement has sorted out his order though.
We're not looking for any headlines stories as long as our servers are up and running and matters such as getting IP numbers allocated are being dealt with...which they are.
Cheers
Gary
revirus 09-10-2002, 04:10 PM i've got this mail from Vladimir Sergeev, support@saburovo.com.
Hello!
Denis is in business trip till 15 sep, 2002.
Please wait him.
> Hi.
> I want my money back, $ 140.00.
Diana777 09-10-2002, 08:30 PM Posted by Editor...The UK is "home" for Saburovo, however Denis has some Russian people doing support. The name Vladimir gave that away, and he is the one that usually answers support@. I'm sure you know more about it than I do, but just to clarify a couple of things: The name Vladimir did not give it away for me. Although I did see that name in the Email header on my message, I didn't post it here. But I did post this bit of the header, which, if I am not mistaken, is from Russia:
Received: from mr (ip-2178.dialup.cl.spb.ru [212.46.203.194])
From matt_01 ... Diana777, whats wrong with that ? saburovo.com provides ur with good service (un-managed ) I'm not making any judgements at all. It seemed to me many people were affected by a lack of response from this company for reasons unknown. I have, in the past, sent "pre-sales" messages to companies who have seemed for all practical purposes to have "disappeared" without explanation, even if only for hours, but at times longer.
The fact that I receive a quick reply to a "pre-sales" question when so many others can't get a response at all tells me something about the company.
It may also alert others. Now, if anyone wants to defend any company who conducts business that way, that's fine by me. I'm just reporting the results of an experiment, and drawing my own conclusions from it. Whatever conclusions anyone else might have can only be based on the intelligence of the individual making such conclusions. I do without reservation concede there are those of you here infinitely more intelligent than I.
I have seen, conversely, an overall deficiency in common sense amongst the scammed. Love, DD
AussieHosts 09-10-2002, 08:48 PM And I was just adding our experiences and what we know of the situation Diana. You emailed support@, so you got a response from someone handling support. More recently, they've advised Denis will be back on deck in a few days. Our own (obvious) main issue is that services remain running, which they are.
Cheers
Gary
dabystru 09-11-2002, 01:32 AM Dear all,
Thanks a lot to all of you for your responses.
I was travelling to Moscow, Russia for 10 days of September and due to number of reasons had problems keeping up with e-mail. I have now 700+ e-mails to read.
support@saburovo.com continued to work during that time, but sales@saburovo.com is copied to myself only and not answered by anybody else.
I refunded the payments to anyone who created subscription to one of our servers and did not cancel it before they were charged.
I apologise to anyone affected by my absence.
I am currently looking to expand support staff to 4 people and hire a sales person, which will allow me to focus on strategic issues and not to be involved in day-to-day business.
Again, thanks a lot to many of our customers and despite of this unfortunate fault we are looking to continue the business as usual.
clocker1996 09-11-2002, 07:04 AM see, told ya they were not a scam. just had a communication problem for sales@
besides, they refunded anyone who was waiting
that goes to show right there that they aren't a scam
revirus 09-11-2002, 12:44 PM well... i'd say better late than never.
