skandinavian countries such as norwegen, sweden, finland etc have the best internet structure.. in europe and prob from all over the world.

But the Netherlands do have a lot of i-net users and my sites usually have 40% dutch hits.

That is why I said: "one of the" and I related to internet usage :-)

I just read that in 2001 over 150.000 nl domains were registrered.

I guess that a large part of these newly registered domains need hosting somewhere, just to indicate the potential of the Dutch market for hosting.

The Dutch are also working like crazy to improve the internet superstructure too. There are various projects going on, some involving Scandinavian companies. If only Dutch bandwidth could become a bit cheaper and compete with US pricing. I would feel so much happier if I could colocate a server within a 30 minute drive from my home. Think Cogent would like a European presence?

The Dutch also have a kick-ass internet connection at the AIX (Amsterdam Internet Exchange) ... they try to become the biggets datacenter in the EU .. not sure if it'll work, some companies went bankrupt after the e-commerce airbell exploded a few years ago ...

You all seem to forget to stress that "The Dutch" are also very nice people! ;)
