For about the cost of a single dedicated server, you can multiply your computing power by taking advantage of a multi-server configuration which is especially useful if you are doing parallel computing or deploying a distributed workload. A multi-server configuration is also useful when you want to dedicate a box to a patricular task for example a (5) node site might be deployed as follows:

(Node) Description
========================
(1) Primary Web Server
(2) Secondary Web Server
(3) Database Server
(4) Development Server
(5) Backup Server

Or you could use all of the servers to host a single application.

Let me take this opportunity to make a couple of clarifications regarding this offer and some of the policies.

1. What is a Server Farm? (Multiple Dedicated Servers)
2. What is a Grid? (Multiple Dedicated Servers)
3. I have problems understanding what you are offering?

There are two ways to increase your computing power
(1) Big Box Method
(2) Aggregate Method (LWC Products)

Each one has its technical pros and cons but it ultimately comes down to what you want to do. The only question you have to answer to determine if this product is right for you is:

(a) Do I want to host all of my Internet Apps on one big powerful box?
such as 8 Core (18.64Ghz, 16 drive, 16GB RAM, 4.5TB of STORAGE,MONSTER with 2TB of bandwidth for $900/month If yes, then you don't need my services.

However, if you like to split things up a bit that is, you don't need to host it all on one box then you might consider the following offer.

(b) LeeWare Grid #6 (Server Farm)
===========================================
8 x AMD-64 (17.6Ghz)
32GB RAM
1.6TB STORAGE
100Mbit/s Burstable (4TB) OFF-NET
Free ON-NET Traffic (Server-to-Server)
Free Setup - $440.00/month
PAYPAL: http://www.leeware.com/lwc8.html

While this offer will give you the same amount of processors you will notice you will have a little less processing power and less storage but you will gain bandwidth, and memory while saving 52%

You could still save money and bump up your computing power to let's say
the following packages:

LeeWare Grid #7 (Server Farm)
===========================================
10 x AMD-64 (22Ghz)
32GB RAM
2TB STORAGE
100Mbit/s Burstable (5TB) OFF-NET (server-to-Internet)
Free ON-NET Traffic (Server-to-Server)
Free Setup - $555.00/month
PAYPAL: http://www.leeware.com/lwc10.html

LeeWare Grid #8 (Server Farm)
===========================================
16 x AMD-64 (35.2Ghz)
64GB RAM
3.2TB STORAGE
100Mbit/s Burstable (8TB) OFF-NET
Free ON-NET Traffic (Server-to-Server)
Free Setup - $880.00/month
PAYPAL: http://www.leeware.com/lwc16.html

4. What is your email policy?

You cannot source emails from the servers unless the following conditions are met:

(1) You are sending non-spam to NON-PORT 25 servers.
(2) If you are sending email to the public you must own and control an external email server that can act as a relay for mail leaving the service.
(3) Rare Cases: Inter-office Company Mail Servers (that is were mail is being exchanged for employees of the same company.)

Subject: Control Panels

The servers do not come with control panels. There are several open source control panels available and I highly recommend that you use one that you have experience with installing.

No Mail Servers

Just to clarify: If I was to use, for example, VHCS to provide hosting services - the mail daemon would have to be turned off, and isn't allowed to be used?

You could leave the mail daemon on it just wouldn't pass any mail to the Internet.
