So ive been looking endlessly for hosting for my video sharing community website. I want a VPS but I currently dont want to spend over 15/mo on hosting. Ive seen only a couple potentially good ones. Then I was thinking what if I bought a reseller plan and use that. I dont know much bout that stuff but i know shared hosts will ban me for too much resources used. But my single website wouldnt use more resources than multiple 'resold' accounts. Anyone wanna lend their expertise on if this will work?

Well first off I would ask how much stuff do you have that you want hosted. How many gigs? If you have a site up now how much traffic do you get to it and all that stuff. By the sound of it with what you want to spend I don't think you will find much with what you are looking for. Good luck though.

well I'm willing to work with what I can get, I want atleast 20 gb of disk space. I need a lot of bandwidth as videos will eat bandwidth

I think it will hard finding a host to offer these services, because most of them don't allow these types of sites as they know it uses lots of resources.

At the end of the day, it will be put under an end user account, and will be treated as such. $15 will give you ~$15 worth of computing resources.
The main advantage will be that of any shared hosting environment: momentary access to the servers huge computing power, whereas with a $15 VPS will likely be severely restricted in terms of memory for example.

You'll probably need 1 TB in a month (bandwidth) if you plan on getting low-traffic (like 500 users a month)

Crashton,
Many of our clients use our Semi Dedicated Plan for their video sharing web sites. A Semi Dedicated Plan will give you the simplicity of a shared hosting account, but more power than a VPS.
A reseller plan may be an option, but you need to make sure the host has the required modules installed.

Uberhost.com has the modules installed for YouTube clones.
