Hi,
Does anyone know of a specialty web-hosting business broker? I have a profitable company that has been around for about six years and am looking to get out of it either in whole or in part so I can concentrate on other ventures. I'm looking for a place to start where people have an idea of the business and contacts in the same.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Why not keep the cut that the broker would take, and sell your company directly to another here on WHT?

I'd be all for that...am looking for some direction on how to go about that I guess... I'll start another thread for the sale.
For anyone else who has purchased or sold a hosting company -- how did you do it? What kind of profit/revenue multiplier did you receive?
Thanks

A broker can use his network of contacts to potentially get a better selling price for the business. He may be taking a cut, but if the amount left over is still higher than it would have been otherwise, then it was a good deal.

Get in touch with Tom Millitzer of New Commerce Communications, spent a long time talking with him at HostingCon about the valuations and sales of internet companies, was very impressed.
You can check out the speakers at HostingCon - some of them were involved in M&A.
