If any of you are interested let me know. :-) geekwannabe 03-20-2001, 04:43 PM You do not seem to offer domain registrations. Without domain registrations you will be missing a significant number of potential sales opportunities. "Domain Parking" is a necessary service as it helps you to build and inventory of domains that could convert to hosting accounts over time. Our experience is that 20-25% of parked domains convert to hosting accounts within a year. I recommend that you set yourself up with http://www.opensrs.com and ask for Doug McDonald. They are the only registrar that I am aware of that will not try to steal your customers. Franc mybiz 03-20-2001, 04:45 PM We register domains through bulkregister. You mean we should offer domain registration and then park it for a nominal fee per month right? That is a good idea.. I will look into that. geekwannabe 03-20-2001, 04:52 PM I wouldn't recommend it! What I am referring to is making the domain registration portion of your website highly accessible. As an example take a look at http://www.easyhosting.com, http://www.xo.com, http://www.verio.com for what I call the "flycatcher". Most offer this service for free. There is a reason why all the major companies put it prominently on their websites: sales! Franc |
