I don't think that, I have a former customer trying to come back to us, who still host his site with HP and the site its up.
BTW, he use ns4. and ns5 nameservers

What is his site? according to the DNS report they aren't there and neither is my site - but I can log on to it directly using the ip address and ssh

I'm hosted with hostpacket. I was on server #2 so I didn't lost any files, I have the DNS pointing to ns4 - ns5.
My site is fully operational and has been since I changed the DNS records. At this point the only thing that's making me think about switching hosts is the lack of his presence. Obviously he won't be able to respond to every email if he is still trying to restore others sites, but I don't think it's too much to ask for at least a few daily updates posted his message boards of what's going on.
A lot of people just bailed when things went bad, I like a few others stuck through it and now haven't had any problems in the last 2 days.
However, if i'm still going to stay with this company i'm going to need to know it's in existence, really soon.

Possibly you have cached DNS records ?
I can't ping ns5.hostpacket.net
ns4.hostpacket.net pings, but various DNS tools report an error
Hey a couple of things
1st: get your site up already, I got curious as to what is on your site with all your posts on hostpacket :O).
2nd: did you update your dns at your domain registrar to point to ns4.hostpacket.net ??? if not do so and it will take a day or 2 to propagate, I have my site up with hostpacket and I am using ns4, and ns1 although ns1 isn't working but neither is ns5, ns4 is the only one responding.
ok I think thats it... just reply if you need anything else.
