Add On Services..

What additional services do the host providers offer to their host clients which make them stand apart from the competition?

Are there services your host/clients request or need which you do not currently provide? (or would like too offer)

What form of marketing works well for host providers?
ie: what sucessful means of marketing works for you to capture a new audience/client base? what does not work?

Thankyou in advance for your professional feedback.

Marketing is a vast term. It all depends on your budget, how much you would like to spend and whom you are targeting at. The clients always want a cheap and efficient service. Your server should not be down otherwise the clients open a new thread at WHT forum to disclose all your services.

I can respect your post Floppy.. My AOS post intentions is to 'add other services' to a host providers services.. such as:
web design
domain registration
search engine optimization
merchant account set up
shop cart
affiliate programs

However, with due respect, I disagree with some of your points. I do not believe that ALL WEB CLIENTS want the cheapest services available. And I do not believe that the majority of new websites being launched even know that WHT exists. This site consists mainly of IMO 85% host providers.. not the clients.. or those seeking services.

Co-Branding & Co-Marketing "Package Solutions" which meet the needs of the soon to launch web client.. IMO is simply a SmartVenture.. as.. they will get these additional svc's somewhere.. so why not offer turnkey solutions?

Goodluck with your hosting operations!

I actually perform the add-on services for a hosting Co.
I won't name the Co, or the add on services, but beyond service and price, sometimes the extras count.
