I am trying to find a suitable paid web counter for a free site hosted on geocities, but nothing seems to match. I need the following:

- Ability to count hits for all pages on the site
- Has to be invisible
- Essential stats (hits by hour/day/month, referrals, geographic location)
- Price under 20 USD/year

Number of hits is less than 1000/month.

I would be gratefull for any suggestions.

Thanks.

Doesn't geocities already offer something *very* similar to that with their "Stats" service?

Anyway, here's a site that I found very useful in tracking:

http://www.ytrack.com

Lots of options & stats, and it's free as long as the site is under a certain amount of hits per month.

stats4all is pretty good, but it often slows down the loading of your page.

Yes, I've been using it for some time, but I need more stats than they provide. It is also not quite easy to quickly see some general statistics for the whole site.

Thanks. This one looks good.

I tried it for several days. Has nice statistics and is free, but didn't detect some test hits I've made from several locations, so I can't rely on it. Besides, it is not invisible :(

Why would you wanna have to pay for a counter. They have tons of great ones at www.hotscripts.com with all those features and more. Plus they don't advertise or nothing. Only you would have to host it.

why not just ask your host to install webalizer? you might already have it installed and not even know..

I don't think Geocities will install webalizer for a free client :D

I have found CQ Counter to be very nice. But it is not invisible by default, it loads an image onto your page. It is small and unobtrusive. It costs $19.95 a year.

www.sitemeter.com (http://www.sitemeter.com) has a free and paid version of their site tracking.
