Hi Everyone,
I was curious what control panel do you feel breaks more often? I personally feel that directadmin is probably the most stable, but what are your opinions for DA and cPanel.

What is your definition of break? I've experienced bugs with both, DirectAdmin has been far stabler. cPanel bugs tend to be more serious and harder to diagnose.

It's only natural that DA is more stable. It's almost bare metal compared to the complexity of cPanel. With complexity comes error...

DA is definitely more stable and easy to manage in my opinion.

I don't know about cPanel currently, but when we used it, there were much more errors than DA, the bugs even came back after fixed in previous version

I have never used DA as a provider so can't compare. But may be because we are lucky or something, cPanel never broke for us, small issues may arise once in a while but nothing major.

It depends on how you manage the control panels. Unstable release updates will cause in more issues. DA is stable but have its own limitations, Cpanel is way flexible and have varieties of options available.

Going on the fact that DirectAdmin has fewer features than cPanel, they both have their positives and negatives. cPanel does seem to "break" more often, but there are numerous scripts and fixes available to rectify these problems. While things certainly do go awry from time to time, keeping to the stable tree goes a long way in preventing many of them.
IMHO, cPanel tends to offer the "easy" fix while problems in DA are a little more difficult to address, although they do happen less frequently.
