I was looking through my logs and found this in the logs. I don't know what this represents (RH7.1):

yeah its a test server. only services running right now is sshd. milkbar can you confirm that?

I found out the problem. It turns out that it's an attack directed at the glibc bug in the rpc XDR decoder library (http://www.kb.cert.org/vuls/id/192995)... thought this info might be useful.
