Hello, we've heard about some hosting plans in Usa. They offer disk space and services starting at $ 8/month. I was wondering if we italians are silly or just wishing to earn less money as our average prices begin at $ 2/month and they are fully accessoried.
Furthermore a quick research showed tey are buying services in Usa, isn't it odd?

Umm...Apachequest...its nice that you are excited about your host and all, but its not a good idea to post the same response to every thread. In addition to leading to a potential smackdown by the moderators, it does absolutely nothing constructive.
I'd also like to point out that you, and tonyag (also a new member) appear to have similar IP addresses and are posting the same glowing words for AIT (see: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=6711&pagenumber=4)

doing this on other threads as well.
They are very aggressive and look to be a good company but I think they are missing the point of this board.

Well personally I would never offer a $2.00 plan. I would need 250 clients just to pay off a monthly bill at VDI. :) How can a host live? I believe a $5 plan is already a cut throat price.

Yes I do agree. Those put >1000 domains in a single server and keep 20 days to answer mails, not a good service. Average here is $ 8/month-
They sell packages as everywhere happens 5/20/50 mb ....
I was wondering about something different, what you guys think about selling plans looking at bandwith consumption and not at disk quota usage?
If you own a server you just have to pay for bandwith. Furthermore customers will work for you because they always try getting more traffic in their sites.
Am I wrong?
tnx
Just don't offer unlimited space. People hear unlimited and just like that you have a big problem.
People may decide that since they have unlimited space, they can use it to backup their drive, for example.
And I agree, $5.00/mo is pretty much the best price you will find (although there are lower plans out there, $5.00 would/should be considered the average lowest cost decent plan.)

You may want to take a look at http://webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=876 before you assume they are anything close to a good company.
Ive suggested to the Defense Dept. that they use AIT as a testing ground for the neutron bomb. That's the one that gets rid of the people and leaves the building and stuff intact. That's the only thing wrong with AIT and it's nothing that a little neutron house cleaning wouldn't cure.
