Hi, everyone,

I have configured my domain name for several months, every thing seems goes ok. But today someone told me that he can't access my website.

Therefore, I went to DNS Propagation Checker to check my domain name, there are a lot of domain name servers show "No result" in my query, while some show the correct mapping data. Is it possible that DNS Propagation is not completed? How can I fix this problem in such a case? Thank you for any suggestion.

Check firewall rules if you run your own dns server.

Hi, DediLayer,

Thank you for your suggestion. I checked firewall, the DNS related port already opened. I called my hosting company to check this for me. Thank you for your reply anyway. :)

I can take a look for you if you want. Post your domain or if you don't want it to be public then msn/aim me.

I hadn't heard of this DNS Propagation checker before, so googled, and - is this the site?

http://www.preshweb.co.uk/cgi-bin/dns-propagation-tracker.pl

I would expect/hope for some results to fail, as it seems to be checking various resolvers, most of which would/should be closing off recursive functions to the world after the furore of late over vulnerabilities.

If the ones that actually return a result, return the right one, get him to check whether it resolves right on his own system/ISP, and then look elsewhere than DNS.
