What really made HostingCon stand out for you?

For me it was:

Handing a copy of Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People" to the former CEO of a company who had really mistreated me as a customer.
Drinking copious amounts of Scotch at the W with the owners 1/2 dozen of my favorite hosting companies
Drinking even more single-malts at the W with people whose names I never got!
Mmmmm.... Scotch!

It was actually the very last night that was the best bit. A big group of us where out and we just had a great time at several bars.

It involved:

1. Being asked to leave a bar
2. Using someone elses limo
3. Drinking beer from huge tubes with taps
4. Several bottles of spirits in some club we blagged a private table at
5. The rest I just don't remember...

The CPanel event was pretty sweet, and of course being around our vendors was also a pretty rewarding experience.

6. That nasty shot concoction on the pier
7. Throwing those stress balls at each other
8. The popcorn fight
9. YMCA

For me the best part of HostingCon was the free SeaDog boat tours that 10TB.com gave away. My partner and I took the non slow-non ultra fast boat and was indredible, I really enjoyed the ride!. Thanks!.

The night of the microsoft party, we went back to the W to hang out with all the tourists, and as we were leaving at about 3am, a belligerent, drunk, foreign woman began hitting on my boss. After he turned her down, she began talking to me, and slurred something about the lake. Shortly after stumbled across the lakeshore expressway, and jumped into lake michigan.

That was the highlight for me.
