View Full Version : Recommendations for hosting in EU?
Can someone recommend a good, fast set up Windows (ASP.NET 2.0) host in Netherlands or Germany or France? Shared hosting with SQL Server 2005.
No UK please. I would prefer someone using the recommended host and has positive feed back.
Thanks :agree:
RSNET-John 08-12-2008, 03:48 PM Any specific reason why the host needs to be in the UK?
If so I can't really think of many, most hosts from that side of the world tend to server Linux based customers.
I suppose it can be in UK... main thing is a windows shop with ms sql 2005.
HostingASPNet 08-13-2008, 02:49 AM Hello,

I currently use Discountasp.net for Windows hosting with SQL 2005 and I know they now offer a UK data center option. I have used Discountasp.net for several years now and I couldn't be happier. I would suggest giving them a try.
UKWebCo 08-22-2008, 06:21 AM In the UK you could use companies such as WebFusion, Amen World or Fasthost, all of whom are well-established and provide Windows solutions. Don't go near one-and-one though, as you might not get the support levels you need.
The UK does have an advanced hosting infrastructure so don't discount it as a good place to base yourself for Europe. We run servers in the UK servicing clients in Greece (which is really poorly connected by comparison) and the speeds are no problem at all.

Not true ;) tons of windows hosting companies in the UK!
They is just not as many hosting companies with Servers here because of the prices we pay for Bandwidth & Colocation.

Hi,
did you have any experience with any of these companies before?
I am also looking for a similar solution, but need to have a solid confirmation first.
gabil 11-16-2009, 04:27 AM You can try leaseweb.com (Netherlands)
Ultima VPS 11-21-2009, 12:17 AM What sort of budget are you looking at for your German based .Net hosting plan?
slyshooter 11-21-2009, 02:33 AM around 10 Euros .
but if its a known good provider with good service can also go higher than that.
