Hi Guys,

Ref: http://www.supanames.co.uk

Barnaby from Supanames here. I thought that I would perhaps ask for your feedback on the way SupaNames.co.uk advertises the bandwidth available on each domain as I can see some people do not like the Unlimited Bandwidth promises made by hosts.

Basically we actually do not have any set limit per account on bandwidth although we do restrict large bandwidth consuming files such as .mp3s. We have never set out any bandwidth limits and the only time when our High Bandwidth Policy would come into play would be if someone uses so much that we simply cannot afford to support them any more. (i.e. if our providers charge us more)

We have never had to implement this even though we have thousands of active users as our users rarely use more than around 2GB of bandwidth in a month due to our restrictions on file types.

Please could I have your feedback on what you would prefer us to advertise our bandwidth allowances as? e.g. put some kind of figure on them - call them "Flexable bandwidth allowance" or something?

I look forward to reading your replies and thanks in advance for your help!

Basically, I think you would benifit from alot more customers if you simply put a restriction on their bandwidth usage, thus getting rid of the '' bandwidth policy. Or even stating the rough amount at which you would close the customers account.
